Re: Trinity Bugs and Issues

BLOCK_5 - Sometimes when trying to open menu but it doesn't open on the first try so you click the button repeatedly and then when it shows up and you close it OR it just opens and closes repeatedly and closes, keyboard stops working, I can no longer register keypresses. To fix it you need to open and close menu one more time, after that i can input keyboard stokes as normal

Can you reproduce it in Q4OS-6 ?

Re: Trinity Bugs and Issues

I actually don't use the default binding anymore, I'm using the new (unreleased) Xakar to handle super_l for starting the menu, so I can't reproduce it..

They seem to be upstream Trinity issues.

Re: Trinity Bugs and Issues

Block 2 is more of a samba lack of feature, which was added in version 4.23. Here's the workaround for it https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=5735

Fixed.

THEMING ISSUES BLOCK_10
We don't consider this a bug, more of a deliberate design. How would you imagine styling this icon ?

Huh.. maybe a dark icon when using dark theme? Or maybe typing it as text instead of fixed icon?

Could you describe step by step how to reproduce the problem? We haven't been able to reproduce that yet.

Q4OS logo has standard colors and looks fine in the dark theme by our opinion. However, if you would design some draft we can consider to replace it in the dark themes.

Re: Trinity Bugs and Issues

The icon looks good, I was talking about the text "Q4OS"

Try pasting something in kate's embedded konsole using keyboard shortcuts, it'd be pasted onto the editor object instead of konsole.

Re: Trinity Bugs and Issues

This is not so much a Q4OS bug as it is Trinity/Kicker upstream debt.

The kicker's colored line and shadow are hardcoded highlight logic; themes cannot completely change them. That would only be resolved with a hide option or patch.

The massive RecentAppsStat/FirstSeenApps in kickerrc is probably the cause of the menu latency. On low-RAM systems, kicker chokes. The hangs are typically immediately resolved by deleting the items or recreating the file.

Since they are different stacks, a mismatch between gvfs and tdeio trash/smb is to be expected. For the same reason, SMB functions in Thunar but not in Conqueror.

Kate focus/shortcut oddity is also recognized as upstream behavior rather than distro-specific.
