Q4OS 6.5 live dont log me in...

hi there,
i whant to install Q4OS 6.5 as linux guest in a virtualbox drive on Windows 11 host. Therefore i boot up a Q4OS 6.5 live .iso but cant get further than log in screen. It asks for Password and i tried all the combinations i googled for... adminq/blank PW, live/blank pw, user/blank PW, q4os/blank pw in all possible combinations.... and so on... but it dont let it boot to desktop. What i am doing wrong? Why cant i get to desktop? How can i install to disk?
And why cant a live.cd boot right to desktop without any questions...?

What .iso file are you trying to boot ?

i used "q4os-6.5-x64.r2" and tried seversl times... and downloaded again... tried again.... no change.

We can't reproduce the issue, q4os-6.5-x64.r2.iso boots fine in Win11/Vritualbox 7.2.4

- What version of Virtualbox do you use ?
- What OS type did you configure for Q4OS ?
- How much virtual memory did you assign for Q4OS ?

Did you actually download the .iso file from Q4OS official website (https://www.q4os.org/downloads1.html)?
If I remember well, a live session doesn't show a login screen asking for a password. Can you post a screenshot of that login screen?

hmmmm..... i am using VirtualBox 7.2.4 r170995.
I set the OS-type to Debian (64-bit) in VBox.
And memory i assigned 20715 MB.
login screen see foto

Did you check q4os-6.5-x64.r2.iso checksum ? You could also try to lower guest memory to 2048 MB as we tested. Another try is to set OS type to Debian-13/Trixie 64bit.

i think i should install via q4os-6.5-x64-instcd.r2.iso

q4os-6.5-x64.r2.iso works fine here, it should work for you as well. If not, there must be a bug what we should figure out. Did you verify q4os-6.5-x64.r2.iso checksum ?

Checksum is good, thanks. We would guess some process crashes throughout logging into Plasma, so the live user is logged out immediately. However we are still not able to reproduce. We will make some more investigation and post back here.

We have investigated, but we are still not able to reproduce the issue, Q4OS live boots fine. Would you please provide brief configuration of your Virtualbox machine something like the screenshot below.

New Virtualbox version 7.2.6 is available for download. Would you please check the OP issue against the new VBox version ? Please create brand new VM for Q4OS.

I just booted it up by F12 on the existing vdi.
