I'm trying to install Q4OS Gemini on an external HD, but I'm not succeeding. I tried an earlier version, but that didn't work either.
On Gemini it says it's better to use GPT, but I keep installing, it goes to the end, but it doesn't boot.
In the previous version, it goes without problems, but it also does not boot.
I installed it through Windows and managed to log in, but it was very slow and I couldn't change the settings or connect to the internet.
Does anyone have any tips?
Thanks in advance!

The problem is that the installer fails to install GRUB onto the USB key if an internal HD/SSD is present (see this thread). Instead (not sure), GRUB settings are modified onto the HD/SSD. As a consequence, the USB will not boot.
If possible, try to remove the HD/SSD (carefully, power off and disconnected, battery removed) before beginning to install onto your USB key.
Of course, re-install the HD/SSD back after installation...!

Thanks for the answer. hchiper. I happen to be using a notebook. It's complicated to disconnect the internal HD of a notebook. If anyone has another tip, thanks!

I managed to install, on the external HD, by the Windows installer. Not what I wanted, as I didn't want to change anything on the internal HD. But, as the system is very fast, I'm testing it to see!
