If you can, try removing the hard disk of your computer and then initiate the Q4OS installer with your external drive connected. Grub should now be installed your external drive.

Q4OS 4.7 live installer offers grub installation location. Isn't it there ?

I forgot to mention that I have only used non-Live installation images of Q4OS.

The topic head suggests OP used live installation images.

I tried and I confirm it works well. Thanks.

I searched only in the manual partitioning and didnt find the box that you highlighted.
I'll give a try

Re: When from live, I cannot change the place where where to put grub

I installed really a lot of distros. Q4OS from 2.4. So before writing to the forum I searched the option that the team showed above.
There is not!

No photo attached, just a path on your hard disk is displayed.
Use the link "post reply" and use the button in the attachment section (under the text box) to browse to your file and select it.
