Q4OS installation:
ISO file: q4os-4.10-x64-tde.r2.iso
Profile: Basic, Trinity
What desktop profile did you choose upon Q4OS install process ?

Thanks. I selected Desktop, which was one of the options offered by the installer.
I will re-install as Basic as per your testing installation, and report back in due course.
BTW I also used defaults:
Guest settings, just default:

You can install Q4OS with Desktop profile in Virtualbox, but you need to start with 16GB virtual disk instead of 8GB, as it is not just enough space.
