Installation in VirtualBox for Desktop mode boots to command line only.
(Saw the same problem posted by somebody else on the Site; they were told to go to the (this) Forum, but I did not find it nor any response here)

What Virtualbox version and configuration ? The installation works fine here Virtualbox 6.0.24 configured for 64bit Debian Linux guest

Oops - forgot to confirm for Debian Linux guest
In case it matters host's running on Devuan Stable, up-to-date.

Testing installation passed fine here.
Virtualbox 6.1.40 r154048 (Qt5.6.2)
Host: Windows 10
Guest settings, just default:
Debian Linux 64bit
1GB RAM
8GB harddisk
Q4OS installation:
ISO file: q4os-4.10-x64-tde.r2.iso
Profile: Basic, Trinity
What desktop profile did you choose upon Q4OS install process ?

Thanks. I selected Desktop, which was one of the options offered by the installer.
I will re-install as Basic as per your testing installation, and report back in due course.
BTW I also used defaults:
Guest settings, just default:
Debian Linux 64bit
1GB RAM
8GB harddisk

You can install Q4OS with Desktop profile in Virtualbox, but you need to start with 16GB virtual disk instead of 8GB, as it is not just enough space.
