[SOLVED] Pulse Audio - problem on "toggle mute on/off" keyboard button

Hi, I am a new user of Q4OS. I am highly satisfied to choose Q4OS.
I have small problems, I am using standard desktop environment(Trinity Desktop Environment -TDE).
In my keyboard, there is a mute on/off button and when I used it, it only work for mute on, not for mute off. Although it says "mute off" in the screen, it falses me. Toggle switch did not work, it remained muted. How can I correct it? Thanks.

I tried the related errorenous command line and got below error in detail :

$ /usr/sbin/alsactl -E HOME=/run/alsa -E XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/alsa/runtime restore 1
/usr/sbin/alsactl: state_lock:125: file /var/lib/alsa/asound.state lock error: File exists

Hardware is initialized using a generic method

Then , since it says permission denied, I tried the same command as root and it gives no error, but problem is still there.

I checked that is there a "cookie file" under  /home/user/.config/pulse/ it exists, but not  "/home/user/.pulse-cookie" file or directory.
Thanks.

I reinstalled pulse audio package and reboot.
All journal errors about "alsa" and "pulse audio" disappeared but toggle button error still exists.

Re: [SOLVED] Pulse Audio - problem on "toggle mute on/off" keyboard button

Oh my god, although I searched the forum before posting I could not find this thread which is the exactly the same issue with mine :

in the forum pages with "id=3667" ( I could not write a page name since it contains php? forum does not allow it)

In there, it is saying that is is a well know bug and will be solved in Gemini. I am using  :

Desktop :Trinity R14.0.12
Distro : Q4OS 4.10.2-n1 (Gemini)

I tried using Humming Owl's "keyboard-action" input mapping method(i.e using Alt+M) but none of the commands worked as expected. I do not know why?
But same thing still exists. Is there any solution to it?

Yes, we can confirm this bug, unfortunately we know no solution at the moment. It apparently persists in O4OS Gemini Trinity desktop R14.0.12. We have concluded this is a Trinity bug, so it should be appropriate to report that for TDE developers. The identical issue has been reported in the past https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3667

Re: [SOLVED] Pulse Audio - problem on "toggle mute on/off" keyboard button

Update :
I did these :
1. removed kmilo package by using

sudo apt remove kmilo

2. restarted my machine
3. deleted the XF86_Mute shortcut key from KMix

and now, my button worked without any problem. That is the solution for me.
