KMix problems in Centaurus i386

I have installed Q4OS Centaurus, Trinity, install-cd - 32bit / i386 on my notebook yesterday, and discovered some problems with KMix, and weird behavior, which lead to complete PC hang sad
1.After I have installed Basic desktop profile (without pulseaudio), KMix slider showed something strange, and audio was not working at all.

2.After I installed pulseaudio and pavucontrol, audio started to work, but still I was unable to move the slider using mouse scroll. I followed this advice, but I still unable to selert PulseAudio Master channel as preferred channel.
3.The most annoying thing. When I try to change global key combination, the KMix simply hangs, and returns error. What's worse, after that error PC hangs completely, and I have to do hard restart using Reset button.

4.Translation is absent.

Anyway, KMix needs some work to be done.

Before asking for help please read this topic: https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3502   If you have problems with WiFi network, try to install the Network Manager using Q4OS Software Centre.

I gave up on Kmix after reported issues a while back http://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2689

Install pasystray - it works.

Re: KMix problems in Centaurus i386

Yes, pasystray should work, however it's not pure TDE application, and adds an extra load to a clean TDE system. We are sure, the "kmix" is fully functional on at least some TDE systems.

Anyway, we will try to split the OP to a single issues and investigate them one by one. Unfortunately, it's not easy to investigate such type of issues, as different hardware configurations influence them significantly. A feedback will be posted later.

Thank you!
Still it is a workaround, which does not solve the initial KMix problems.
I will try it.

Re: KMix problems in Centaurus i386

We have performed quite a thorough investigation, here are some results in short.
1. Fixed, install-cd revision ".r5"
2. Fixed, install-cd revision ".r5". We can confirm controlling KMix slider using mouse wheel doesn't work sometimes, looks like another KMix bug. We are investigating it still.
3. TDE bug confirmed https://bugs.trinitydesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2955 , not connected to kmix directly.
4. We can confirm a missing TDE translations at the moment.

We have also reported a new TDE bug https://bugs.trinitydesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3031

Thanks for the detailed reporting.
