Display resolution not holding during reboot *SOLVED*

My display has a default resolution 1600 X 1200 which is what Q4OS Centurian found on installation. However, due to eyesight and preferences I change it to 1024 X 768. I have found on reboot or restart after power down that the display resolution has changed back to 1600 X 1200 and I have to reset it.
Is there any way to get this to 'stick'?

You could try to use the "tderandrtray" utility, however we would recommend you to keep the native display resolution and use the DPI setting:
Control panel > System administration > Screen scaling

"Control panel > System administration > Screen scaling"

After a bit of experimenting that seems to have worked. Default was 96 and I've changed it to 130. Seems a bit off from doing it via the desktop config, but shouldn't be too hard to get used to.
Thanks.
