Hello, I'm a new member of the Q4OS community.
The Trinity desktop has amazed me. I've tried many lightweight desktops for my old computer, but Trinity is the only one that is not only fast and lightweight, but also quite functional and full of features for system configuration. I chose QuarkOS because Ubuntu covers my needs better. I have a few questions about this operating system and I would be grateful if the developers could answer them:
1. Does QuarkOS get the same love and support from the Q4OS team?
2. Does the Trinity repository in QuarkOS use a rolling release model? I mean, will it make it to the QuarkOS repository when the next version of Trinity is released, or will it be delayed until QarkOS 26.04 is released?
3. Is there a plan to release QuarkOS for normal Ubuntu releases?

Welcome to the forum.
1. Q4OS is just our primary OS so it gets more attention, however Quarkos gets much of our love too, of course.
2. No it's not rolling release model, the same as for Q4OS. Stability is our preference. Trinity gets fixes and updates, but only within minor versions, not a major one.
3. No, only for Ubuntu LTS.
Enjoy Q4OS and Quarkos too ![]()

Thank you very much for the clarification
One aspect that I appreciate on Q4OS and QuarkOS is the constant theming between gtk and qt apps thanks to gtk-qt-engine-trinity and Q4OS gtk themes. However this is not true for the Debonaire theme. As far as I can see I can't choose qtcurve style for gtk3 apps. Debonaire is more elegant than Q4OS theme. Creating a gtk style for that theme is highly appreciated.
Again thank you for your amazing work on Q4OS and QuarkOS

I agree with that - see also my post here: https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.ph … 413#p32413
Now, after some time, I installed QuarkOS and added software according to my liking. I would like to remaster my customizations.
I've tried S4-snapshot, what is fork of Mx-snapshot, from: https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3624.
Unfortunately the QSI-Installer reports "Unsupported distro: Ubuntu Noble" - that's right, it isn't real Q4OS itself.
Any instructions? Is there another remastering program?--I haven't seen one.
Thanks for your work!
