Install won't boot into desktop

Installed the latest 32-bit version of Q40S but it won't boot up. I see that's happened to others as well but couldn't figure out their different hardware fixes. I installed it on an older Dell Latitude E6430 laptop in legacy mode. Anyone know a solution? Thanks.
