Hello,
I am using Orion with the current updates on an AMD64 6 core CPU, but Kicker often crashes (about 0...10 p.day.). Sometimes, the taskbar comes back immediately and sometimes <F2><kicker><Enter> is needed.
In the most cases it crashes if I use the Menu or start a program in a other way.

You may want to go over to the TDE website www.trinitydesktop.org and look thru the bug reports as Ive seen this reported more than once.
I run two AMD64 triple core systems but havent experienced the problem with either Orion or Scorpion.

This is an unusual behavior. Is it the case of fresh Q4OS installation ? If not so, it's very probably caused by some configuration option or cached value. We would recommend you to reset gui configuration, please see http://www.q4os.org/dqa011.html#desktop.7. You can backup the current desktop settings using Dai_trying backup tool http://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1027

It might be worth switching to Classic Menu and see if it still happens
Also - have you by any chance enabled 'Recent Documents' in the menu?

I am using Classic Menu by default. I will test step by step all hints. Starting with the hint from q4osteam. It will take some days to be sure.

Yes, I am using 'Recent Documents'. And it is stored and restored by Dai_trying's great backup tool. Without success, I will test without the restore tool because I fear, it restores also broken values.

Might I suggest that you disable 'Recent Documents' in the Classic Menu and see if you still have problems with crashing kicker?
Dai's settings backup/restore tool is brilliant, but I'm not sure if it has been written to include the Recent Documents info.
https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1027 - may be worth asking the question here?

Thank you very much. The system is stable again. I was not sure, but the great Dai_trying backup tool stored and restored the configuration really without the bad values.
