new install Q4Os with trinity desktop

I have jst freshly install the operating system,and chose tyhe minimal install categaryUnfortunately while carrying out a system update ie system cache the installer has stuck at 71%..please help as im new to this O/S,I have been using Linux Mint for a long time but thought I would like to try something different..Michael
