In-place upgrade or new install?

Good day,

I'm wondering - is there a way to do an in-place upgrade of Q4OS from 1.8.x to the new Scorpion version, or must one do a full reinstall? I haven't found a clear answer on this, hence the question.

The advice offered from the devs in another post recommended doing a fresh install, I think this advice is best practice although simply updating your sources might perform an upgrade ok but I always do a fresh install, it's better to be safe than it is to be sorry smile

The best option is a new installation and is recommended for developers.
I always reinstall the new version.

Many issues doing an in place upgrade, definitely fresh install.
