Odd issue uploading photos direct from SD card

Hi All,

I have an external car reader. When I try and upload photos to ebay for a sale I get the error message in the attached pic?

No problems copying to a local folder and uploading from there...

Also in a few places in the GUI that broken icon on top left of dialogue?

Any tips?

Use the direct reference, locate your file from /media/user/device rather than from konqueror's storage media location. It's happened to me in the past too, I think it is because konq uses an internal reference link to the folder which browsers cannot see.

Usually there is just no icon in that size in the set in use. Alternatively there's an iocn shaped hole but nothing specified for it. If you switch back to - say - Plastik - for Style and Window decoration you should find that goes away but I know you prefer old school

So, if you are into the whole retro look then you can always pretend it's 2000 all over again with the excellent XP Q4 installer.

This will install lots of modern and period 'windows' icons and window styles so you can enjoy that chunky Win 2K look. Yes I do use it!

XPQ4 is great and very popular among my friends and clients.

I already have that installed and am using 'XP Classic' which is mostly spot on but this is just one of a couple of places that icon appears.

Re: Odd issue uploading photos direct from SD card

On subject of themes I would pay a bounty if the XPQ4 guys did a close QNX theme that skinned the entire DE - I bloody loved that thing!

Even attempted a Fluxbox theme myself :-

That theme looks very old school.

Exactly why I liked it smile

Seems to me that all the 'advances' in desktop gui's have not actually made them any easier to us!!!
