Microsoft Master File Table bug

I just love this one - what a hoot!

Probably only of interest if you dual boot or use Wine based apps to access net

Re: Microsoft Master File Table bug

Ive been running Vista and Win7 since 2006 and so far havent had any issues but Im a more experienced user and I do rely more on alternate browsers like Chrome to avoid certain issues.

There are many more bugs besides this one, that have cropped up recently, many have been patched.

I dropped Vista and only have Win7 running but my eventual goal is to move to Linux for all uses by 2020.

Re: Microsoft Master File Table bug

The bug's activated by trigger if Windows' Master File Table is embraced in a directory path – for example, if the attacker included $MFT as a link to an image in a Website.
