Hi is posible add more ram with a SD card Or usb stick to your latop?

Hi  my question is, is posible to add more ram memory as this guy is making in windows but in debian linux? is very interesting no? and what with a sd card? inserted in the slot of a latop.You can see the video in youtube with the title - Add More RAM To Your Computer Using This SIMPLE TRICK!  check it!

Ah - the old ReadyBoost snake oil resurfaces.....

It's a Windows only thing I'm afraid - in the form in which they present it.

You 'could' configure a high speed USB stick as SWAP without too much pain I guess - but why?

If you need more RAM - fit it where it belongs wink

I wouldn't use an sd card anyway, even a high speed one will be considerably slower than your hdd speed, so increasing swap might work better (but not on sd card), but at the end of the day

Agree bin, install more ram whenever possible.  SSD drives are the next best choice but they still dont make sense for many users because many use older systems and conventional drives are still dirt cheap.
