Attempting to open the Gnumeric help file I get this error message:
The file ‘/usr/share/gnome/help/gnumeric/C/gnumeric.xml’ could not be parsed because it is not a well-formed XML document.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Check to make sure yelp is installed
You may need to go direct to the help file and right click - open with - yelp

Thanks, I'll try that, but I've just checked the file with an online xml checker and there's an undefined expression on line 249, so I'm going to comment it out and see what happens.

That didn't work, but yelp was installed with Gnumeric. When I try to open the file directly with yelp I get the same error.

I just installed gnumeric and had no issue getting the help displayed ok, but just realised I am running Scorpion so will reboot into Orion to check there.
EDIT
Just checked with Orion and it displays without issue there too. It might be worth un-installing and then re-installing in case something has got messed up with configuration.

Hi Dai_trying,
Thanks, but reinstalling Gnumeric didn't help. The odd thing is I've just installed Orion on a new computer, and I've had no issues with the help file in previous installations. Weird.

Desktop PC.

@Jerome
You only need to install 'docbook-xml' package:
$ sudo apt-get install docbook-xml
It could be evaluated as a bug in Debian as 'gnumeric' suffers from that missing dependency.

Thanks team!
