App Menu Sharp Font Question [FIXED]

In trying to get the menu font in Claws Mail to match what I have in Konqueror I edited /home/username/.gtkrc-q4os and enabled the lines;

gtk-xft-antialias=1
gtk-xft-hinting=1
gtk-xft-hintstyle="hintfull"
gtk-xft-rgba="rgb"
gtk-xft-dpi="96"

Which worked great - I have attached a screenshot

I now want to do the same for VLC Player and Okular - but how? I tried installing qt4-qtconfig & qt3-qtconfig and the menu's in qt4-qtconfig have the same look s VLC where as in qt3-qtconfig they look as in Claws which I prefer. I am guessing that this means QT4 apps need a tweak somewhere...

Have also tried editing /home/username/.gtkrc-q4os-kde4 but that makes no difference, nor does a custom ~/.fonts.conf

Btw I am using 'Windows Classic' (have done since 95 lol!) theme from XPQ4 Styles

UPDATE: I just changed to the Windows 2000 Classic Theme, logged out and then went back to the XP Classic - and all is well!
