Raspberry Pi Image

I downloaded the Raspberry Pi from the Q4OS site. It is a zip file. I cannot get it to open. I do have an unzip program that I got from Synaptic but it doesn't recognize it. What should I use to open it?
I think I may be confused. Is this Raspberry Pi to open in Q4OS or Q4OS to install on Raspberry Pi?

Re: Raspberry Pi Image

I tested the download and it is a zip file like you said, I can open mine using ark-trinity (preferred application) and it shows me q4os-1.4.11.3-rpi.img which I'm guessing is the installation image for a Pi. I don't have a Pi myself so cannot help with that, but at least you should be able to get the zip file open. Also you could check you have the unzip package installed, obviously this (or another package) would be needed to open a zip file. I think ark-trinity should download the most used compression packages when it is installed but if you have more issues post back and I will try to help. smile

It's Q4OS to install on Raspberry Pi, see http://www.q4os.org/dqa010.html

Try to run in terminal and post back the output messages:
$ unzip q4os-1.4.11.3-rpi.zip

Re: Raspberry Pi Image

First and foremost thanks for all the help. What I was wanting to do was see the Raspberry Pi OS. It looks like I'll have to buy one of those cards right?

Re: Raspberry Pi Image

You can buy it or create the SD card by yourself, see http://q4os.org/dqa010.html
