Hi everybody,
This question must have been asked here before, but I can’t find it. Apologies if there have already been replies.
I’d like to install Q4OS on an old desktop PC running Windows 10, in a dual-boot setup with Windows (unfortunately, I still need Windows for a single application that I can’t find on Linux). I’ll mainly be using this PC in Q4OS, except when I occasionally need to switch to Windows for that pesky application.
Two questions:
1. What’s the best way to run Q4OS alongside Windows? A standard dual-boot setup or via the Q4OS Windows installer?
2. At start-up, I’d like Q4OS to boot by default rather than Windows. Is this easy to set up?
I’d just like to add one thing. My main computer is a laptop running Q4OS for about two years now, and I have no intention of changing it. I really like it.
I’ve been a Linux user for about ten years and a Q4OS user for two years. I’m not a computer expert, just an experienced user, but I’m not very familiar with technical jargon.

Hi,
I think it's recommended to install Windows first, Q4OS afterwards.
Had an issue dual booting with windows, but it could be fixed completely - everything described here:
