Settings greyed out

Hi. I have just installed FreeXP64 in VMWare and the first thing I wanted to do was change screen-resolution but all settings are greyed out..maybe I need to be root to change but have do I get the option to input my root-password? Or do I have to do it in a script somewhere? Seems stupid, it might also be related to me running in virtual?

Re: Settings greyed out

The XPQ4, Free10 and FreeXP projects are distinct from the Q4OS project and are not maintained by Q4OS developers.
Their homepage is at https://xpq4.sourceforge.io but it seems difficult to get help from there.

I may be wrong, but I believe FreeXP doesn't ask root password; instead it asks for your own password to confirm you allow modifications to the system settings (some kind of rights elevation).

As q4osteam wrote about one year ago: We can recommend you to use Q4OS with Lookswitcher's Win10(*) theme.
(*) An XP theme is also available, as you can see on this screenshot from Q4OS homepage.

So don't hesitate to give Q4OS a try in VMWare too smile
