Aa the title says, sourceforge is really slow here in my country, and their mirrors too keep failing no matter what.. everytime I need to download a big file from sourceforge I need to download a copy of it into my Google drive via Google colab and then I can finally download it at decent speed.. but gosh it's painful to go through that process so many times

Yea, it's hit and miss here in the States. Sometimes it's 65mb/second and sometimes it's 300k/second. I've found stopping and restarting the download often helps.
Also when you click on the download, there's a button on the second page labeled "Problems Downloading?". If you click on that you can change the download site and maybe get a faster download.
Calm down, it's only ones and zeroes

Here it's like 0.1mbps~8mbps, I've tried a couple mirrors but meh, all of them are either too slow or too unstable..
I guess I'd Google drive as usual which gives a stable 80mbps

I agree with the statements above. Even in my country (Latvia), Sourceforge is much much slower than my normal internet download speed from Google drive, Github or ftp.se.debian.org for example.
Q4OS Team, please consider the possibility to host Q4OS images to another hosting, such as Github or one of Linux mirror hostings, such as https://ftp.fau.de/ or http://ftp.se.debian.org/
Downloading new Q4OS versions from Sourceforge takes very very long time. And all those ADS in Sourcforge! Fucking ADS! I HATE THEM!!!

We have contacted ftp.fau.de and requested to mirror Q4OS downloads.

It's just an opinion, but I think that if the download speed is sometimes slower than usual and this problem is detected in several countries then the problem lies in their servers.

In Australia - Sourceforge is generally quite fast, but can vary.
Just today, I downloaded two ISO's of roughly the same size - from sourceforge
The one from Germany downloaded fast - while the one from the US was quite slow.

We have contacted ftp.fau.de and requested to mirror Q4OS downloads.
Unfortunately, mirroring is not possible, here is a reply:
Unfortunately, ftp.fau.de is currently rather full, so we will not currently add any new mirrors to ensure that there is enough space for the existing ones.

That is bad...
Can you please ask https://ftp.accum.se/ admins for mirroring Q4OS?
Those servers are very fast!

Yes, we will do.

Idle thought, perhaps, but Mint has a public list of its download mirrors that could probably be used a guide for expanding Q4OS own pool -- e.g., see https://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=324... ![]()

We are working on mirroring our download pool, however it will take some more time. Meanwhile you can use faster download from our Patreon site https://www.patreon.com/posts/fast-down … -147796001

Q4OSTeam, is it any progress with ftp.accum.se?

Yes, we need to manage a rsync source and download redirector on our side first. It will take some effort however it will be quite feasible in a near future.

Patreon download works great for the time being~! It's 10-20 times faster than sourceforge ![]()
