Auto update release information in Wikidata / Wikipedia

The Wikipedia summary entries for Q4OS are automagically filled from Wikidata but the data there is outdated (5.4 instead of 5.7). Updating the Q4OS data manually in Wikidata is PITA (I gave up after several attempts).

Therefore it might be a good idea to automatically update the information in Wikidata whenever a new release gets available, although I currently don't have a ready made solution for doing that, it should be possible with the information available here: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata: … dding_bots

Hmm, Wikipedia even does not know that there is Q4OS 6.1 Andromeda since 12 September, 2025

Oh yes it's heavily outdated.. the text, the table, 6.3 is out, there's testing version too, q4xp as a fork exists too. q4rescue deserves to be mentioned too

Re: Auto update release information in Wikidata / Wikipedia

good call. also due to being outdated,no mention of arm either. would be also nice to underline still having 32bit version and still being supported for publicity. ofcourse, people mostly check it out, learn from pages like distrowatch or review websites but for people not familiar with the linux world,it would be nice to have an up to date record on wiki
