I'd definitely switch to Q4OS 7 if it uses Preliminary Testing Builds of TDE!

Nice, I may replace my Forky install.
Thanks!
Calm down, it's only ones and zeroes

I look forward to giving it a trial run --- my only fear --
is the growing menace of rounded corners in KDE.

Yes, FF and Lookswitcher as well as few other installers are not available for Q4OS-7 testing yet.

re Debonaire - yes - I was just making a joke about how KDE is all out on curves and rounded corners.
Some people like it, which is perfectly fine --- but some of us -- not so much.

Lookswitcher still not working. Stops after 52%

Installed as a VM using virt-manager. Main things that would not install for me were Proprietary Codecs and Look Switcher. In live mode VM before installing to a VM HDD, I entered Konsole in the search portion of the menu launcher and it crashed needing a forced re-start. Once 'installed' Konsole worked correctly.
This is how it looks so far:
[i notice sadly that it is using Wayland!]

We don't plan to release install-cd at the moment. For what reason do you need the install-cd ?

I use ventoy for installation and I have a lot of iso, live cd is often twice as large as installcd so I prefer installcd. Also because of the limited network speed in my area, install-cd is better to download. I've seen some (non-q4os) issues with the calamares like mbr/gpt partition issues when trying to setup dual boot windows. And I've some devices with really small displays and the gui installer doesn't work really well in those..
So I always prefer install-cd, thank you

You can also install plain Debian with no desktop environment and use this https://www.q4os.org/dqa017.html method to setup Q4OS.

Would be a pain when I need to reinstall and/or in an offline environment.. ![]()
