Kweather-Trinity

This is my first post on the forum so first off, thank you for the community that put this distro together as well as those who take the time to assist others on the forum.

I've been using linux for years but just recently migrated to the excellent Q4OS with Trinity desktop which is working quite well on a converted chromebook (converted using mrchromebox.tech) with underwhelming hardware.

My questions is very simple.  I installed the package kweather-trinity because I want a weather app in my taskbar.  Now I have no idea how to get it into the taskbar and I'm not even sure the install brought over all of the dependencies.  When I do a search in d3lphin for 'kweather', the only thing that comes up is a folder 'opt/trinity'share/apps/kweather' which contains several icons.  I do not see a binary file for the actual program.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance!  Have an amazing day!!!

Re: Kweather-Trinity

That worked!  Thank you.  I have a follow-up question.  After installing the weather app, I see it doesn't have an option to show more than just the current day's forecast.  Is there a TDE compatible weather app that can be configured for 5 day forecast?

I am aware that flatpak has the plasma weather app that would work with Trinity, however, I have such limited space on the machine (16G... I know, it's bad but I have about 4G free and flatpak apps are too fat, lol).  If not, I know I can go to a website, but just curious.  Thanks for maintaining such a lovely, lean distro that makes the chromebook more useful than the original EOL chromeos ever was!  I had bodhi linux installed, initially, and I'll just say Q4OS Trinity blows it away for a) speed, b) beauty, and c) size of install.

Re: Kweather-Trinity

As far as we know there is no other weather application in the Trinity repositories. Thanks for the feedback.
