I was a sparkylinux user before, as I found its forum were super slow to log in, I was thinking of another alt. I am a newbee of linux, tired of windows, there you will know, so a friendly forum may help me a lot. Thus I am here!
Today I got Q4OS installed for the first time, it pumped a hint of another DE. I did install LXQT DE which is familiar to my habits of sparkylinux's LXQT DE. I still unfamiliar with TDE. I want to keep LXQT DE and get rid of TDE, but don't know how.

oops , I might have posted this on the wrong place, which " tips and tutorials" is not the right place to post that question.

... I want to keep LXQT DE and get rid of TDE, but don't know how.
It's not possible to remove TDE completely as Q4OS desktop depends on Plasma or Trinity. In addition you can install other desktop environments, for example LXQT. In anyway you can keep Trinity desktop installed and use LXQT only. Trinity will not disturb LXQT anyhow. We are planning to change such strict dependencies in a future.
We will move this topic to the support section in a few hours.

und that this lxqt DE still Install some outdated apps. For example, ibus's Japanese input method may type kanjis, but this lxqtDE could only install older version, which is not able to appear kanjis.

How do you install the "ibus" app, please post exact procedure.
