IRC Channel

Is the Freenode IRC channel the official channel for Q4OS? If so, why doesn't it have activity? I think it's a good place to chat live with other users. Just curious about it.

I didn't even know there was an IRC channel available It could be handy to help users in real-time that's for sure.

There is no official IRC channel at freenode.net at the moment.

It must create it when you /join #q4os, I guess. But no one is in it.

kornbluth.freenode.net sets mode +s on #q4os
#Q4OS: Lightweight Linux OS, looks a lot like Windows Xp and runs well on old hardware. This channel has been established for anyone interested in conversations about Q4OS.

I agree with Dai_trying, it would be handy for real time chat & support.

We agree, it could be a handy tool, we will try to make something official in the future. Existing Q4OS channel was not created by the Q4OS Team, nonetheless anyone is free to use it, of course.

I hope it's ok  to reply to this topic instead of making  a new one. It's "necro
posting" because the last reply was almost 9 years ago, but I don't see anywhere
in forum rules that necro posting is not allowed, so I will post here.

If anyone  is looking  for IRC  chat about Q4OS,  I created  a channel  #q4os at
libera chat.  Freenode has been dead  lately, so I decided  libera.chat would be
the best place. Of course it's not  official, but it's better than no channel at
all. Hope to see someone there soon!
