Was able to install this Youtube downloader but it says I need ffmpeg which I know I've installed. Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks.

Have you tried video downloader in the Q4OS software center, as it works really well.

I have video downloader installed and it does work ok. Jdownloader2 is a lot easier. Just right click on a video and select copy, when you've got a bunch of vidoes selected just click download.

You could also try smplayer as its easy to use and available in Synaptics package manager.

Very new to using Q4OS.
There is no video dowloader app listed in my sofware centre. I only installed the system a couple of days ago.
Also the software centre always loads just 64 apps, is this normal?
Trinity R14.1.1
Q4OS 5.8.1-n1 Aquarious
q4os-desktop
kernal 6.1.0-38-686-pae

If you install Flatpak(available in Q4OS software center) youll see a larger number of apps in the software center, including video downloader.

Are you using TDE or KDE? I havent used TDE in awhile but the Flatpak app is available for install in the software center.
Which desktop profile did you install? I use KDE and the full desktop install.

Ok thats my bad as I dont use TDE and its not included in the software center. Look at this thread, www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=5013

how can i check if its TDE or KDE?

Does your desktop use Konqueror? Does it have a an older Linux look to it? The fact you dont have Flatpak available leads me to believe you have TDE.
You can also install Flatpak by looking here, since Q4OS is based on Debian. https://flatpak.org/setup/Debian
or look at the link I gave you above, in message #9

You can also check in the Synaptics package manager and search for video-downloader if available for install.

Yes i ran the commands and restarted, i thought there would be a flatpack appstore to browse but nothing seems to have changed. Does flatpack not have its own software centre that i can look at ?
Nothing new has appeared in my list of applications.

If you followed the directions in post #9 you should have a user friendly Flatpak GUI front end to use.
