Hey this artsd is really irritating, keeps on sending "cpu overload" error messages every couple minutes and have to restart to fix it temporarily..
Can you post a complete solution to completely disable artsd and use something else like aplay or paplay for sound system in TDE? ( Iguess deleting the file and linking an empty script to it might do the work but might break stuff..)

Login to Trinity desktop > control panel > sound and multimedia > sound system > uncheck enable sound system. You can still use aplay and other tools.
