Q4OS (faux Windows 10 desktop) on Surface Go 2

I had previously installed Q4OS on my old HP 210 netbook which gave it new life.

I still have Windows 11 on my studio PC as I run the Cakewalk Sonar DAW for my soundtrack work (been using Cakewalk for 31 years) and my wife needs certain MS programs for her work on her HP laptop but she does have Start 11 on it to resemble Windows 7 which she prefers.

However, after a recent Windows 11 update on my Surface Go 2, the battery drain increased leaving around only 3 hours total after it having been around 6 hours. Plus my NordVPN had issues connecting to a server. So I was fed up and put Q4OS on the Surface Go 2. Did a few tweaks and got into the terminal to get NordVPN installed which worked great.

Now I get around 10 hours of battery life and I'm using the Falkon browser which is great and light on resources. I have the faux Windows 10 desktop and it feels like home.

So my Surface Go 2 (got it 4 years ago) has new life. Thank you Q4OS developers!!!

It would be nice to have the testimonials onsite in their own forum for people to read through.
