Try disabling secure boot in the bios.

If you are a UEFI system youve got secure boot as I havent seen one that doesnt so far. Is it possible you have an older system? Even my older Dells and Lenovos have secure boot options in their bios.
If thats really the case you might try installing Q4OS from the live media not Ventoy and see what happens.

It could be issues with Ventoy and Ventoy defaults to MBR, you need GPT. Its possible using the live media will cause no issues but be sure the iso you are using is from our downloads page here onsite. https://q4os.org/downloads1.html

FWIW, although it's true Ventoy defaults to MBR, it is very much GPT (and SecureBoot) ready.
Please, see documentation at https://ventoy.net/en/doc_news.html...

Absolutely Midas as I wasnt implying that Ventoy wasnt capable of GPT, you just need to make sure its enabled as it defaults to MBR.
Ive seen a lot of posts from people who have experienced just this kind of thing. That said Ventoy isnt perfect and sometimes youll find just installing the OS directly, works just fine.

I had problems using Ventoy with Linux ISO before, and solved that by writing the ISO directly to the usb flash drive instead of using Ventoy.
Whenever I want to install a ISO, I use Gnome-disk-utility to write the ISO directly to the disk. (I guess there's a simpler command to do it directly from terminal, but I think it is easier to do it from gnome disks)

*maybe* your Ventoy setup is having trouble to properly write the EFI boot partition and thus the system won't boot after install.

Thats why I wanted him to try the live media first to see if the system runs without issues and it will also install based on whether its MBR or GPT.
