How to restore TDE menu with a "frequently used" app list [SOLVED]

I've been working out other TDE issues with @q4osteam and others and after changing the appearance and themes and such, I lost my previous tweak of the menu setup where there were 5 or more slots above the "Search" box (which is useless, at least to me) where the most-launched apps showed up as a substitute "Favorites" menu. How do I get that back?

I opened up the TDE Menu Editor, and nothing there suggests how to accomplish this. Ditto for the Menu Editor in the Help.

Lost in menu-land....

Is it the "classic" TDE menu ?
You may need to switch to the "categories" menu structure > wecome screen > switch start menu > classic + categories.
Next right click on panel > configure panel > menus > quickstart menu items > max number of entries

Thanks! But...ummm...why is this sort of "hidden" by being put on the welcome screen and not a part of the menu configuration itself, or exposed somewhere in the control panel? Strange!
