Error code 104

I just installed Q4OS Trinity on my old desktop.  When I try to run Desktop Profile I get error code 104.   I rebooted my router to no avail.  My other desktop is wired as well and isn't experiencing any problems.  I'm 81 years old and complete newbie to Linux so please make it simple if you can.  lol

Re: Error code 104

More than likely a network issue along the way(devs report Q4OS servers arent having issues in another thread in this forum). Ive had this happen on occasion and came back to it later and running desktop profiler was fine.
You could try using the Trinity live media and see if the internet connection is working ok.

Re: Error code 104

Thanks for responding.  I decided to delete Q4Os and try a different distro. Hopefully I'll find one that connects to my router.  Cheers

Re: Error code 104

I doubt its the router as its more than likely a hardware issue. You didnt mention what hardware you are using and what ethernet/wifi youre hardware is using.

Older hardware can have issues and you didnt mention what version of Trinity you are using?  Older versions or most recent version?
The fact that one system isnt having an issue and the other system is means that system has an individual hardware issue.

Q4OS overall is very compatible  with a wide range of hardware because in fact its based on Debian 12.
