Q40S plasma version

since latest Kernel upgrade i have now  lost sound,though i have run a sound test through pulse audio and im getting sound tones thro my left and right speakers..can anyone help plse  Michael

HI, Can you give us a bit more detail as to your system? Is it a notebook or a desktop? Do you have a separate soundcard? For me I hate Pulse Audio and prefer ALSA or PipeWire. My preferred method of dealing with sound issues with a separate sound card is to create a sound.blacklist.conf file using nano editor via the terminal. I think I posted about this somewhere on here.

You could try the older kernel and confirm the newer kernel is really the cause of the issue.
