Q4OS Brilliant

Hi To The Q4OS Team.
I am on the other side of mid 70, been a Windows user since DOS OS Days.
Due to the Windows restriction of Win 10 to Win 11 with unsupported hardware unable to upgrade to win11 I decided to ditch windows.
I have downloaded several Linux distros like, Ubuntu Linux Mint Linux Lite, Arch Linux, Blend OS, Kubuntu, Xbuntu and many others.
Installed the on various laptop models some dating back to 1990,s.
During my Linux journey I then cam across Q4OS Aquarius 5.8 and I must congratulate the Team what a BEAUT !

I have now installed the Q4OS on all my 10 laptops.

I planning to start a Senior Q4OS Group, here in George Western Cape South Africa before end of Win 10 support October 2025 and promote
yours truly magnificent Q4OS linux cool

Kind Regards
Alfred Schmid

Re: Q4OS Brilliant

Welcome to the site, Im also in my 70s and have been working with computers since the days before DOS. Im using the KDE version and have a group of users as well, mostly friends who use Q4OS either as their only OS or as an alternate to other OS.
Enjoy Alfred!

Re: Q4OS Brilliant

I liked the days when many of the computers had their own proprietary nature and programming was a much more varied situation. Miss my Commodore 64 and the many other unique systems of the time. DOS era was easier but not as much fun.

Re: Q4OS Brilliant

Thats a great article, thanks.  The last time I ran DOS was back in 2006 when I still owned a much older system with a original Pentium processor I used for playing older games. Unfortunately a fire took out all my classic systems including my Commodore 64.
