JamesDSP or simply JDSP app for better sound output

First installed pipewire version, then realized Q4OS has pulseaudio instead.

So installed the latter over previous and things seem okay just the same.

Have tried thus far, the two first options (Bass/Misc.) then equalizer with "movie" in dropdown.

So far, not bad at all.

Id refer to it as JamesDSP as JDSP refers to Java Digital Signal Processing, to avoid confusion.

Someone will have to tell 'em.

Surprised it was ignored or unknown to "them".

When I looked at your link it surprised me as well, that they were referring to it as JDSP.

Re: JamesDSP or simply JDSP app for better sound output

Not quite sure what this means, but here is what James wrote back to suggestion Crosscourt made:

Thanks for the promotion, I believe JamesDSP is better suit

Best Regards,

- - -

Does that mean he agrees with making the change or simply believes that it is best suited app for improved sound output?

Unsure as to what or should to reply to him (who likely quite busy, given the short response).

Re: JamesDSP or simply JDSP app for better sound output

Not too many seem keen on this app.

Have been using KDE Neon Plasma 6.3 (has Pipewire) and find JamesDSP to perform even better (no more glitchy sound at beginning of videos).

Re: JamesDSP or simply JDSP app for better sound output

Pipewire will be default with Debian 13 I believe.

KDE Neon right now is a really nice distro.
