Trying to unzip unrar files

I installed a unrar and unzip apps but can't figure how to use them. Don't most linux distros have a default archive program already installed when you click on one of these type files?

Im running the KDE version and I use Ark. If you do a search online you can see whether it might work for you or maybe another option.
