Update Manager can be launched on demand?

Hi,
newbie here!
I just installed Q4OS 64 bit Trinity on an old pc.
As suggested I installed Update Manager from the Software Center.
I wonder if I can launch Update Manager directly or if I can change the frequency of its execution... is it a kind of service or a scheduled task?

Thanks!

Re: Update Manager can be launched on demand?

Update manager is running on the background.silently until an update is detected. At that point it shows update icon in the system tray. You can still launch updater dialog form terminal:
$ /opt/program_files/q4os-update-manager/bin/updatemgr.exu

Instead of bothering with terminal, you can also use Synaptic package manager to do a quick check for updates and install if needed.
