I initially received this message a lot in Q4os Gemini, and the fix was to set resume=uuid=XXXX in the grub configuration file. However Aquarius was difficult. I set it in initramfs resume file and in the grub configuration file and even though it was correct in both, I still got the error in the title. After hours of trying, I had set the initramfs to RESUME=none, and in the grub configuration file I deleted the resume=uuid=XXX completely and viola! no more error or delys! To boot, the computer still hibernates!
I suspect an update to the kernel or something, and I suspect I got the error due to many different setting trying to set the resume device.
A fresh install also fixed the problem
