32-bit version of Q4OS 4.12 not detecting PCI SIL3114 controller & drv

I am a Linux beginner trying to install Q4OS to an SSD on an old L4S5MG-651+ motherboard.  The SSD is connected via a Silicon Image SIL 3114 RAID controller that Q4OS apparently does not see.  I believe the controller is compatible with Linux as there are drivers available.

I used Rufus to create bootable USB installation media.  How can I incorporate the drivers onto the installation media I have created or is there another way (e.g., terminal command) that I can make the OS aware of the controller and attached SSD?

The system currently has a 32-bit version of Windows 7 installed.
