Changing User Name from adminq to something else

Hello, new here to the linux community in general. I just installed Q4OS 32-bit on a Acer Netbook and was wondering how do you change the "adminq" user name during login into another name? I was trying usermod, but did not have any luck with: usermod -l newname oldname. Is there another way to possibly change the name? Thank you in advance!

Re: Changing User Name from adminq to something else

I was able to change it by reinstalling the OS and using the classic installer. I believe that if you use the other installer on the boot disc, you are forced into using the "adminq" as the login name. It's not too big of a deal, since I just installed Q4OS yesterday, but something to keep in mind for anyone who has had this problem.

Re: Changing User Name from adminq to something else

adminq is the default username if you use the live version (i.e. not installed on your disk), ant the password is blank. If you change the password, the modification will be lost when you end the live session.
When you install Q4OS on your disk, you're asked for your real username and password, which will be saved to disk, including subsequent modification (any user is allowed to change his own password with the "passwd" command).
