Anydesk

Hiyall,
I'm liking it so far.
I'm trying to get Anydesk (remote desktop) to work on Q4OS-32bit+Trinity. I have downloaded both 32 & 64 bit versions. Neither work. I get a window with:"TDEInit could not launch Anydesk. Could not find Anydesk executable.".

Q4OS 5.4 Trinity 32bit Full on Asus EeePC 1011PX (2011), Atom N455, 2Gb DDR2 RAM, 256Gb SSD

Re: Anydesk

Did you download the i386 version https://download.anydesk.com/linux/deb/ … 1_i386.deb or the generic linux https://download.anydesk.com/linux/gene … 386.tar.gz

Guessing that you used the i386 deb, how did you install it? The ideal method is to open the download location in Konsole and then

sudo apt install ./anydesk_6.0.0-1_i386.deb

This will pull in any required dependencies.

Alternatively use the instructions on their web site to enable the repository - the commands will need to be run with sudo as they are assuming a separate root account.

Once it is installed, if it doesn't want to run through the menu, then open Konsole and just type anydesk - that assumes that's the name of the executable. You should then get back some meaningful information.
