So, installed Q4OS on the machine that's my new Q4OS machine. Bit overkill for Trinity, but it runs nicely. I found however that the /opt/trinity/share/applicaitons/tde/kate.desktop has the line
NoDisplay=true
causing it not to show in the menu. Given the fact that this is the defacto standard advanced editor for Trinity, that doesn't make sense to me that it would be a hidden applicaiton. I've commented it out on mine so it appears again, but was that intentional to hide kate, and if so, what's the reasoning behind it given how heavily used that application is?

This is an antiquated configuration. We will enable Kate .desktop file upon the next Q4OS release. The original idea had been prefer more simple Kwrite text editor over tangled and somewhat buggy Kate editor.
