Orange dots and widgets in System Configuration

I just noticed orange dots beside a few options in System Configuration and in each of these options there is also some orange widgets in the right panel (see attached screen capture).
Does these orange dots indicate a configuration problem? In this case how can I know what the problem is?
Q4OS upgraded from 4.7 to 4.8 some days ago and I didn't notice this before.
I also activated the backup option in System Configuration, but I don't know if it is related.
Thanks for any help.

These markers indicate changed settings. You can easily turn them off clicking on the "Highlight changed settings" button in system settings

Re: Orange dots and widgets in System Configuration

Thanks for your answer. I've just located the button.

In French its text is "Surligner les paramètres modifiés", which doesn't describe correctly its effect: "surligner" means to give this aspect. In my opinion, a better button text would have been "Indiquer les paramètres modifiés".

By the way, Applications > Locations is marked as modified although I didn't modify them; the directories were just translated to French at the installation time ("Videos" -> "Vidéos" and so on). If I click there on the button "Réglages par défaut" (Default settings), the English wordings are used.

On the other hand, I modified the backup tool (activation and creation of a backup template) but it isn't marked as modified.

Anyway, I have to say that the introduction of the backup tool is a very, very, very excellent idea!
