Q4OS dual boot with Debian

Hello All
I have installed the Q4OS and it is running very smoothly on an ASUS Zenbook UX303 LA
At the moment I would like to try double boot with Debian. Preferential install would be so that I could update any of the two distros without affecting the other OS. Existing setup is LVM. Disk size ~ 240Gb.
Some years ago I had done dual booting with windows though never with two Linux.
Has anyone here done this dual booting and is willing to share the experience and any pitfalls to be aware of?
Many thanks for now.

Re: Q4OS dual boot with Debian

I'm not super familiar with LVM but dual booting between Linux is simpler than with Windows, so you should be fine.

Re: Q4OS dual boot with Debian

Thanks it wasn't easy even with a dual Linux system. If you want dual boot it is better to stay with standard partitions, as I learned, and not LVM, see here

Re: Q4OS dual boot with Debian

FYI and as an alternative that wouldn't require you to setup any partitions -- apart from the ones required by Ventoy -- you could use the procedure I detailed over at https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3909...

I have managed to use it to dual boot Q4OS, Mint and Windows, all set to their own VHD file.
