Postinstall steps: apply the most applicable desktop profile ?

Hi

I have installed q4os today. I was trying to run chromium browser but didnt't work out. Then I tried to install firefox and that didnt work out as well, because the system says I need to apply a profile. How do I do that?

Where do I find that option?

Just apply a profile from the list, there are three options available in the list. You could also import a custom profile.

do I have to do the complete installation again? I chose an additional desktop environment(xfce) but nothing happens...  the install button is not activated but when I click the first option " full featured desktop with...application set" then install button is activated...thats what I chose when first installing this linux

No, once you click the install button, changes will be made to your current install, and you might need to reboot for the changes to take effect.

What do you mean? Can you elaborate, please? The desktop profile tool is in Q4OS' welcome screen, look for it in XFCE's menu. However, if you mean change between desktops, you have to reboot and from the log in screen select another desktop, i.e. Trinity.
