I'm fairly new to Linux and now I'm testing different lightweigt Linux distributions to find out which best suits me to give a second life to old hardware. For this purpose I'm using an Acer Aspire 3300 with 512MB RAM as a test rig. I have downloaded and istalled Q4OS 4.6 32 bit with Trinity desktop from a CD. The installation worked well, and I'm now testing the system. I have installed Clementine, VLC and Multimedia Codecs. Audio CD plays without problem, but when I try to open a DVD I get an error message: "VLC could not open the MRL "file://....". Check the log for more details". Any suggestions to what might be the problem?
