Is TLP necessary?

Hey guys, I installed the trinity on a old laptop to test. It's blazing fast and seems to be amazing.
.
I noticed that TDE power saving have some "battery modes" (power save, dynamic, etc).

So, is installing TLP a good idea? Or it will conflict with tde powersave?
