Centaurus > Gemini upgrade: what about installed applications?

Hi,

I've installed programs in 4 different ways:
1. Installs from Buster repository

$ sudo apt install <package>

2. Installs from backports repository

$ sudo apt -t buster-backports install <package>

3. Installs from downloaded .deb binaries

$ sudo apt install /path/to/downloaded/package.deb

4. Installs from sources

$ ./configure
$ make
$ sudo make install

I wonder what will happen with all these programs at the time I'll upgrade from Centaurus to Gemini, especially the last two categories.
Is it recommended or necessary to uninstall them first before upgrading and to reinstall them after?

Thanks for your advices.

I think those pkgs should be kept with no alteration after the upgrade, however, I suggest:
1. Making a backup using timeshift first.
2. Update your system(Centaurus)
3. Upgrade to Gemini.
If something goes wrong, you can always restore your system.
