Uninstalling Konqueror

I want to uninstall konqueror and use another program instead for browsing and file manager. But when I go to synaptic to uninstall it ( I mark it 'Complete Removal') it lists a lot of things that I'm not sure safe to be uninstalled. So what can I do? Should I just continue or is there another way to uninstall konqueror safely?

You can't uninstall konqueror-trinity, it's an integral part of Trinity desktop base with many dependencies. Nevertheless, you can configure another web browser and file manager as a Trinity default in the TDE control panel.

In fact, everything is simple.
Open, for example synaptic, see what files are located and where, and delete them manually.
But this is bad advice, under your responsibility (I don't think removing konqueror will break the system).

PS. With all the wrong advice ...
There may be a case where every megabyte on disk is important. EEEPC with 2...4 GB SSD is still alive.

Yes, this is a really bad suggestion.

Thank you for your replies. Konqueror is not that bad but I love something more elegant, so I think I'll follow your advice and use another program as a default without deleting konqueror.
